Laredo Medical Center Announces New ER for North Central Community
7/11/2019
Laredo Medical Center has purchased land in North Central Laredo for a freestanding emergency department to serve the growing residential and business community in North Laredo.
Laredo Medical Center- North Central ER will be a full spectrum Emergency Room with the immediate support of the hospital’s infrastructure for any patient, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The ER will be conveniently located at 9811 McPherson Road close to North Central Park. All major insurance plans will be accepted including Medicare and Medicaid.
“We are proud to be making this very significant investment in order to construct our own satellite emergency department and improve accessibility of care for those who live and work in the area. This will create a much-needed access point in North Laredo that offers all Laredoans that walk through our doors the same trusted quality care they have been receiving for more than a century in our region,” said Enrique Gallegos, CEO of Laredo Medical Center.
Laredo Medical Center-North Central ER will feature seven private exam rooms including trauma, gynecology, and bariatric treatment. There will also be on-site radiology and laboratory services with experienced emergency physicians and the skilled clinical staff of Laredo Medical Center.
Construction of the 10,500 square-foot facility is expected to be completed in early 2020. More than 26 new jobs will be created to serve patients at the emergency room, including registered nurses and lab, imaging, admitting and environmental services staff. As the opening approaches, jobs will be posted on the career page of this site.
Construction will be facilitated by M.J. Harris Construction Services, LLC.
