Ivonne Acosta Receives Laredo Medical Center’s Nursing Excellence Award

LAREDO, TX – Ivonne Acosta, RN, has been selected by Laredo Medical Center to receive its Nursing Excellence Award.
This peer-nominated award was created in 2020 during the “Year of the Nurse,” in recognition of the critical role nurses have played in treating patients throughout the COVID pandemic. The award was open to qualifying RNs and LPNs working in a direct patient care position who consistently demonstrate characteristics synonymous with nursing excellence.
Acosta was chosen for her outstanding contributions in compassionate care for her patients. The registered nurse has been a member of Laredo Medical Center since January 2020, beginning as an ICU nurse before joining the Laredo Medical Center Cardiac Rehabilitation Center.

In addition to receiving the crystal Nursing Excellence Award, Acosta received a cash prize and other nursing essentials for her outstanding service, compassion and collaboration.
